About PTE Academic
PTE (Pearson Test of English) Academic is one of the world’s first fully computer-based English language skills exam. It was launched in 2009 and since then has grown not just in popularity, but as an exam itself. Administered and fully marked by computer and AI, the scoring system is based on more than 10, 000 students with 126 native languages.
What are my personal opinions? My first true love will always be IELTS and I strongly believe in human interaction to assess English language skills, but I do understand why PTE is gaining popularity. It is important to remember that language isn’t just about grammar, speed and fluency. It’s about being able to effectively deliver a message. That’s just my personal opinion as a native English speaker and ESL tutor. My personal feelings aside, I am fully prepared (find my certificates here) and happy to help all my students who have chosen to sit for this exam. I will deliver lessons with the same passion and enthusiasm as I do with IELTS.

Where can you sit for PTE in Perth, Western Australia?

How much does the test cost? $410 AUD
Serious business:
Results are usually issued within 3-5 days.
NO paper certificate issued, results are only available via the myPTE account. Results are issued as a Score Report and are verified by institutions/immigration departments via a Score Report Code.
Results are valid for 2 years
What happens if you’re not satisfied with your results? A “Rescore” is available for SPOKEN and OPEN-ENDED WRITTEN responses of the most recent test that you took. The other, more common option is to re-take the one test at a time. ** you cannot ask for a rescore if you have already booked another test**
